Special Education Teacher
As a special education teacher, I assist many different students with a variety of subjects throughout the day. Much of what I teach is supplemental to the curriculum delivery and activities that teachers are doing in their classrooms. If this is not appropriate for the student, I design a plan that is best suited for the child. My goal in doing this is to ensure that each child is working to his/her potential while being successful. Instruction is done in both a small group and one-on-one setting.
In addition, I also have paraprofessionals that assist with students. A majority of the time, the paraprofessionals assist students in the general education classroom.
