6th Grade Mathematics Teacher
Welcome to 6th Grade Math! From the minute students walk through the door, they are challenged with mathematical thinking that involves problem solving and real world applications. A consistent routine is followed each day, giving students plenty of time to practice new skills learned in class with guided practice, as well as independent work. Concepts are reinforced with projects, like making a model of the solar system and the Mini Metric Olympics, allowing students to express their creativity, as well as showcase what they have learned in class. Qualifying to compete in several different math competitions offered throughout the year challenges students wanting to go above and beyond.
