Mary Seep
First Grade Teacher
Welcome to Miss Seep’s classroom, a community with the common purpose of learning, growing, and becoming friends.
Establishing good classroom discipline proves essential to each child’s success, confidence, and well-being. Every child should feel that the classroom environment is safe and secure place to help them reach their goals.
My expectations for the class include:
- Put-downs are prohibited.
- Respect and trust each other.
- Strive for your personal best.
- Discuss and listen actively.
- Give and expect truth and honesty.
- Take good risks.
- Smile!

Some of the exciting things that we will cover in 1st grade include:
- Decoding words and becoming fluent readers

- Addition and subtraction
- Time, money, shapes, and fractions
- Writing complete sentences
- Flat Stanley

- Frogs
- Kansas Day
- 100th Day of School

- Field trip to Kaleidoscope and DeAnna Rose Farmstead
