Johnson County Spelling Bee to be Held on Saturday, January 28, 2012

Come watch the fun, as 85 students from Johnson County vie for the chance to compete in the state spelling bee! Here are the details:

  • What: Johnson County Spelling Bee
  • Who: 85 students from Johnson County, Kan., schools
  • When: Saturday, Jan. 28th – Session 1 begins at 8 a.m.; Session 2 at approximately 10:45 a.m.; and the Championship Round at approximately 12:15 p.m.
  • Where: Hosted by the Spring Hill School District. The event will be held at Spring Hill Middle School, 301 E. South Street, Spring Hill, Kan.
  • Procedure: Four spellers from each session advance to the championship round, all eight spellers in the championship round advance to the state spelling bee on March 17th
  • Sponsor: The Great Bend Tribune
