Winter 2011 Season

Broncos Baseball Team Claims Second Place at State

The Spring Hill Broncos baseball team pulled off an exciting win with a score of 2 to 1 over the Scott City Beavers in the first round of play in the 4A state championship tournament! In second round action, the Broncos thumped a team from Topeka Hayden, as the Spring Hill players were on fire offensively and played a solid game in the field.

Advancing to the championship game against the Kansas City Bishop Ward Cyclones, the Broncos were behind early but came charging back in the last inning of the game. The game ended on a controversial call with two Broncos runners on base. The final score was 4 to 6, and the Broncos received the runner-up trophy. The entire team showed their mental and physical toughness and skills, as they battled to the end and made the entire Bronco family and community proud! Congratulations on an amazing season.
