At the May 11th Spring Hill Board of Education meeting, results
of the district's recent busing survey were presented. Forty percent
of district families responded to the survey that asked about the
acceptability of moving to a two-tier busing system beginning in the
2010-2011 school year. A two-tier system means buses will run double
routes, and start and end times for schools will be staggered.
Nearly 70 percent indicated that a two-tier system would be an
acceptable change if it helped save money and accommodate growth.
The board is now reviewing the comments that were submitted and also
gathering more information before making any decisions. Visit
