Just a [image of a musical note (eighth-note)]to introduce you to the elementary vocal music program and myself.  I have been teaching elementary vocal music at Spring Hill Elementary since 1977.  I graduated from MidAmerica Nazarene University with a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education/Psychology and from Kansas University with a Master's Degree in Music Education. My husband and I are the proud parents of three daughters.

I believe that music is an integral part of the total school curriculum. Children who possess musical knowledge and skills are better prepared to meet the challenges and opportunities that await them in an ever-changing, multi-cultural society. Within my PreK - 2 general music classroom, it is my goal to provide each child with the skills necessary to meet these challenges. I promote skill development by singing , playing, listening, reading, valuing, creating, moving and performing which provides the opportunity to acquire a life long appreciation for music.
