| SHES has received national recognition for
our all-school problem solving unit on the election process.
We were one of only nine elementary schools in the country to be
featured on the internet in "Reports
from the Real World" sponsored by the National
Student/Parent Mock Election, The University of California and the
League of Women Voters. SHES also received the John
Herklotz National Democracy Award from NASSP for this unit and
was the only elementary school in the state to be honored.
