SHIS PTO Mission Statement

The MISSION of SHES PTO is to promote the welfare of children and youth, to bring into closer relation the home and school so that families and teachers may better cooperate in the education of children and youth, and to help provide supplemental resources that enhance or compliment school curricula.

DOLLARS AND SENSE:  The SHES PTO raises funds through a variety of projects and activities.  Families can participate in a variety of ways.  

STAFF SUPPORT:  SHES PTO provides a meal and snacks for staff during Fall and Spring Conferences.  We provide classroom volunteers for special activities as needed.  In addition, the PTO supports special events for the staff throughout the year.

STUDENT/PARENT SUPPORT:  SHES PTO actively promotes increased interaction between the home and school by participating in Back to School Night programs, and providing representatives for Site Council and other district committees.  SHES PTO is always working to improve the quality of life and education for our children. It takes a lot of work and a lot of volunteers, but it is for our most valued resource, our children.

We would like to invite you, parents, teachers, staff, and community to participate in our planning and activities.  We always appreciate fresh ideas and fresh energy.
