I came to Spring Hill at the start of the 2000-2001 school year. After teaching both 4^th and 5^th grades at Spring Hill Elementary, I now teach 5th grade at Spring Hill Intermediate School. 

I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Pittsburg State University (GO GORILLAS!) in December 1999.  I substitute-taught for a semester before beginning my teaching career at Spring Hill.  I earned my Reading Specialist Certification in 2003, and I completed my Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction with a Reading emphasis at the University of Kansas in 2004.

I have a Bichon Frise (a.k.a. small, white, fluffy, lap dog) named Chloe who is definitely a “mama’s girl!” J

In my spare time I love going out to eat, (especially Mexican food), watching movies, reading, golfing, going for walks, and playing with my dog.
